“You know that amazement you feel after tasting fruit that ripened naturally on a small farm somewhere and realize that what you have accepted as fruit from your grocery chain is actually tasteless? The fruit at the store looks the same, often even looks better, and most of the time you forget that the wax used to make the apples appear shiny leaves a film on your tongue. And so you eat more because you're looking for that flavor your taste buds expect. You subconsciously look for substance everywhere and overindulge trying to find it; you search inside of empty calories, empty notes and words, empty bottles and bodies. And you feel so tired. I want my music and stage performances to awaken something inside of people, something that makes them re-think what they have accepted.” Scarlet Monk
