You now have Halloween plans!

So, not sure if I mentioned this, but I also once in a while pose for artists and painters and sculptors. Not as much as in the past (I did it full time for a couple of years) but it’s really rewarding and even relaxing when done in moderation. Last weekend I had the pleasure of posing for artist David Abed (, who does does really beautiful work, as part of Art Depth’s annual event during Chicago’s Artists Month. The event was called “The Goddess of Now” and the models (goddesses) were styled by Summer Romero and photographed by Angelica Robles. The event happens every year and is really wonderful especially if you are an artist (you just show up, there are amazing models, free materials usually donated by Blick, and you just paint or sketch for hours while listening to super funky music by DJ Romasoul). Here are some photos from the event, I was the Goddess of Fire and Buffalo, check out for more info and her styling inspirations.

If you missed the event, fear not. There is a part two, where you get to network and mingle with all of the artists and models and see the work that has been created, including this awesome painting of me as the Fire Goddess (I haven’t seen the finished painting yet!). I will also perform a solo vocal looping set. The event will take place at Fame Bar on October 22nd at 6:30pm and it’s free, here’s an fb info page: Fame Event
And I’m also performing on Halloween! This event is called Hook & Eye, and is presented by the Laboratory Dancers. I’ll be dancing in one of the pieces as well as creating my own art/movement installation. Cellist Ira Ochs will be nearby so we might intertwine our talents and efforts for something extra spooky and awesome. It will take place on Halloween, October 31st, at the Fulton Street Collective. Costume contest, bands, dancers, art installations, beer, photo booths, awesomness. Here’s the FB event page for the show: HALLOWEEN SHOW
