Artist Life

I whole-heartedly believe in the importance of the artist in society and my art needs to be experimental in order to feel gratifying. It’s important for me to be grounded in my art forms through the study of classical/traditional styles, but I am never satisfied by staying within established forms and instead look to the future. I’m strongly influenced by current societal trends; because of this, I always return to the themes of the human voice and human connections in the age of technology and blank stares. I strive for new and unique ways to blend performance forms which I have fallen in love with over the years such as Opera, Jazz, Gregorian Chant, Trip Hop, Hip Hop, Breaking, Butoh, Chicago Style Footwork, Modern Dance and Grotowski’s Poor Theatre style to create my own unique voice.
